Aerosol Nanoparticle Control by Electrostatic Precipitation and Filtration Processes—A Review

The growing increase in emissions of ultrafine particles or nanoparticles by industries and urban centers has become worrisome due to the potential adverse health effects when inhaled. Particles this size range have greater ease pulmonary penetration, being able access bloodstream deposit other regions body. Thus, development optimization equipment processes aimed at removal aerosols been gaining importance current scenario. Among commonly used, electrostatic precipitators filters stand out as versatile consolidated literature. This review explores analyzes theoretical bases these two collection such small addition providing a general overview technologies studies on topics.
